Do I qualify for assistance from the Fuller Center?
Qualifying families must meet three criteria:
NOTE: Figures are for FY 2018 and subject to slight adjustment each year. Equal Housing Lender practices apply. Various documents including verification of income and credit check required with application. Applicants must have lived in the Joplin area at least one year.
- Current housing need: a home visit will be made to assess condition of current dwelling.
- Total household income must fall between 25% to 80% AMI for Jasper County, MO. (See chart below.) For new homes, family must also show financial ability to handle a mortgage or loan for project costs, plus expenses such as property taxes, insurance, utilities and home maintenance New home build expenses also includes the lot.
- Willingness to partner with JAFCH by paying back mortgage or loan for project costs plus contribute required sweat equity hours.
